Membership on the Journal is open to any student at the University of Texas School of Law.  Interested students may seek membership in one of two ways.  TJOGEL hosts its own write-on competition at the beginning of each spring semester.  Information on and applications for the spring write-on competition are available soon after returning from the Christmas break. Students may also seek membership through the all-journal write-on competition held during the summer.

Journal members are required to attend an editing training session and to complete 20 hours of editing each semester.  Students are not required to be a member of the Texas Oil & Gas Society prior to Journal membership.  However, students are strongly encouraged to participate in the society in order to enjoy the benefits and to interact socially with the board members and staff editors of TJOGEL.  For more information on becoming a member, please email info@tjogel.org.
